After leaving our first stop we continued down the south shore towards our second stop Skogafoss about 1 hour south. Now much like the Columbia Gorge there are waterfalls everywhere, it seems like every farm has one, and every cliff or mountain has 3 or 4, and they all look awesome but if we tried to stop and photo them we'd never make it anywhere. We drove through beautiful farm lands and right past the place we would be spending the night called The Garage, here is a link to check them out

Arriving at Skogafoss, we were amazed how large they were, and how many people were there. But Iceland
is a country of tourists so we should have expected that.
There were also a good sized herd of sheep next the falls, Icelanders have tons of sheep and they wander
around everywhere, getting in the roads and causing mayhem. They are also the original breed brought in
9th century so they look at bit different from sheep we see at our home.
I can imagine that feeling of wanting to be the only tourists there, as I suppose part of the appeal of Iceland is its perceived remoteness.
